ABOUT

Since 2012, Eurocelp has been developing innovative quality control tools for the potato industry. Thanks to our artificial intelligence solutions, we analyse the external and internal quality of tubers to offer our clients reliable, fast and accurate results that enhance performance and productivity.

About

The history of Eurocelp

Before 2012 — Manual grading

Potato grading was carried out by an operator, 100% manually, before the data was entered by hand.

This process resulted in high variability in results: heterogeneous criteria, observation bias, differences between operators, and difficulties comparing lots over time.

Avant 2012

2012 — The beginnings

Everything had to be invented: starting from scratch, designing the first machines, creating the client account, finding partners and convincing the first users.

Welcomed by the Technopole de l’Aube, Eurocelp benefited from an environment conducive to innovation and from the support of Bpifrance to develop its first solutions.

The first samples analysed marked the starting point of a technological and human adventure dedicated to quality.

2015 — The first installations

Very quickly, clients expressed the need to have the equipment directly on their site, for greater responsiveness and reduced logistical costs.

This step marked the installation of the first Qualicelp machines at our historic partners, with whom we still maintain a privileged relationship today.

2018 — The arrival of Deep Learning

A CIFRE PhD partnership was established with the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT) to improve defect detection in potatoes.

Given the natural variability of tubers, Deep Learning proved to be the most suitable technology to improve the precision and robustness of analyses.

This milestone marked a major turning point: Eurocelp machines became evolutive, capable of learning, adapting and improving with each new campaign.

2022 — New headquarters

With a growing team and many projects under development, Eurocelp moved to new premises located in the industrial area of La Chapelle-Saint-Luc, close to suppliers and partners.

The team now includes 10 people, united around one objective: improving the detection and evaluation of potato quality with increasingly powerful technologies.

After 2025 — Future ambitions

With the launch of Intracelp, Eurocelp is opening a new chapter in its development.

The company is now looking toward the industrial market, international expansion and the continuous evolution of its increasingly high-performance solutions.

The goal is clear: to make Eurocelp the reference in quality control, while eventually exploring other agricultural products beyond potatoes.

LUC DEROULERS – FOUNDER

From the beginning, I have had a simple conviction: quality control in the potato industry needed to evolve.

With the Eurocelp team, we have combined technological innovation with field reality to create a unique ecosystem, now recognised as a benchmark in quality control.

My ambition remains the same: to keep improving Eurocelp, refine our algorithms and support our clients toward greater performance, transparency and trust, both in France and internationally.
